Farringdon Underground Station station

Farringdon began with the world’s first underground railway and now sits at the crossing of Thameslink and the Elizabeth line. That combination gives a compact historic station an unusually broad north–south and east–west reach.

Its surviving nameboards and neighbouring market streets place the newest cross-London railway within one of the Underground’s oldest settings.
