About Name the Station

Name the Station maps metro networks from official operator and government sources, then turns them into short map challenges. Every line, station and connection you see comes from a versioned dataset, not from hand-typed notes.

Browsing and playing are public and free. No account is required; create one only to publish a seasonal rank and keep your progress across browsers and devices.

Each city is published as an immutable dataset version with its sources, licences and retrieval dates recorded. Those sources are listed on every city page, and station descriptions cite their references inline.
